YESTERDAY’S HERO  —  Dir. Cameron Miller · AUS · 96 min

Scott Burke (Chris Franklin) is a typical Aussie builder’s labourer, right down to his mullet hairdo and faded jeans. His mates love him but reckon he’s a bit of a disaster. A part-time amateur stand-up comedian, his life is turned upside down when he becomes an overnight sensation on the prime-time TV soap Sin in the Suburbs.

Twenty years later, now in his 50s, this former TV star revisits his hilarious misadventures across Melbourne, Hollywood and Tasmania — just an Aussie bloke who once had 15 minutes of fame.

Yesterday’s Hero is a wild new Aussie feature 25 years in the making. MUFF is proud to host this special preview screening to close out MUFF in its 25th year.

Starring: Chris Franklin, Warwick Capper, Krista Vendy, Andy McPhee, Nikki Griffin, John Barresi, Jack Levi, and a host of international talent including Corey Feldman, WeeMan, John Ashton & Rowdy Roddy Piper. Screenings at 7:00pm and 9:00pm.

MUFF 25 Awards & Presentation will follow the second screening at approx. 11:00pm.
