They say life imitates art and visa versa. In keeping with this time worn adage, the films on offer at this year’s MUFF may seem tame when stacked against the lunatic events of the current ‘clown world’ as it’s been termed.
With kids eating tide pods, activists resorting to unprecedented levels of extremism and the dark ministrations of the world’s more malevolent power brokers being exposed to the light for the first time, one could be forgiven for thinking humanity has indeed lost the plot and gone insane.
These are indeed worrisome days my friends, with pockets of nobility glowing like lanterns in the fevered night and a spirited fight for reason, only now gaining momentum amongst the red pilled and more enlightened of us.
Once more into the fold dear friends, for we offer shelter from the storm in the warm, confines of our festival, where you can live vicariously through the mirrored madness of our chosen cinematuers. Here, at MUFF 20, you’ll find lust, love, death, nightmares, laughter and most of all, freedom.
So, join us this year and enjoy the unbridled madness of Art. It’s the only sane thing left to celebrate.
How dare you! We dare. We always will.
